The Dirt Merchant Ltd. is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery such as backhoes, loaders, and bulldozers to perform various tasks such as excavation, grading, and hauling materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment
  • Assist in the training of other workers
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service on equipment
Requirements:
  • Heavy Equipment Operator Trade Certification
  • Occupational Health and Safety Certificate
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Driver's License (Class 3 or D)
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate
  • Ground Disturbance - Level II program
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 years or more of experience in heavy equipment operation
  • Experience in operating various types of heavy equipment
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols
