About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced cook to join our team at Soo Sushi. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine food portion sizes and costs to ensure efficient kitchen operations
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements to meet customer demand
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including sushi and other Japanese cuisine
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed to support kitchen operations
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment
  • Manage kitchen operations to ensure efficient service and high-quality food
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position, working 30 to 40 hours per week. The work language is English.
