About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Market Risk Senior Analyst to join our team at TD Bank. As a key member of our Market Risk FRTB team, you will play a critical role in supporting the bank's risk appetite by providing guidance on analysis and reporting. Your expertise will be instrumental in escalating issues in a timely manner and driving project improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with business partners to understand system and model changes, their results, and impacts on market risk capital processes.
• Establish quality standards for outputs based on business requirements and foster an environment for effective escalation and mitigation of risks.
• Identify innovative opportunities and drive initiatives that enhance analytical capabilities and business knowledge.
• Develop and maintain in-depth understanding of FRTB analytical principles, including modeling of financial instruments and risk factors.
• Provide leadership, direction, advice, and empowerment to the team, alongside management, through cross-training and indirect coaching.
Requirements:
• Relevant industry, liquidity, or risk management experience, with relevant accreditation.
• Ability to develop and mentor individuals within the team through cross-training.
• Strong commitment to quality work and adherence to governance compliance and controls practices.
• Experience with Market Risk measurement and reporting, including VaR, Stress Testing, and FRTB concepts.
• Knowledge of financial instruments, regulations, and market risk metrics gained through academic study or practical experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications, with programming skillsets such as VBA, Python, SQL being an asset.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Risk Management, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or other quantitative disciplines.
• Pursuit or completion of CFA/FRM is an asset.
