Senior Risk Analyst for Commercial Banking

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Analyst to join our team in supporting Borrower Risk Rating (BRR) input for Commercial Banking Centres, Mid-Market Agriculture units, TD Equipment Finance, Financial Restructuring Group, Franchise Banking, and the Automotive Banking Centers.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will use their accounting knowledge to assess financial statements of privately held companies, confirm inputs into the Risk Rating model, and perform quality control reviews of Economic Market Value (EMV) spreadsheets. Additionally, they will train senior risk rating specialists, risk rating specialists, and seasonal contractors on the Risk Rating models supported.

Responsibilities
  • Assess financial statements of privately held companies using accounting knowledge, notes to financial statements, and overarching guidelines.
  • Confirm inputs into the Risk Rating model.
  • Perform quality control reviews of EMV spreadsheets.
  • Train senior risk rating specialists, risk rating specialists, and seasonal contractors on the Risk Rating models supported.
  • Act as a Manager of Duty, operating BRRIT generic email boxes, communicating with internal partners, and monitoring automation processes.
  • Assist the Manager, Risk Rating, on projects and initiatives as required.
  • Perform Queue Management to ensure BRR requests are completed within Service Level Agreement targets.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Post-secondary education with a Commerce or Business Administration degree.
  • Specialization in accounting or finance preferred.
  • Proficiency in English and French is required.
  • Working knowledge of standard Microsoft desktop software, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment while ensuring work is of high quality.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
