Korean Medical Interpreter Specialist

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and fluent Korean medical interpreter to join our team. As a remote bilingual phone interpreter, you will play a crucial role in facilitating communication between individuals with limited English language skills and representatives from various industries.
About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and clear interpretation during online calls, ensuring effective communication between all parties.
- Navigate conversations in specialized fields such as Healthcare, Insurance, Financial, and Law Enforcement, adapting to industry-specific terminologies.
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and understanding to create an inclusive atmosphere, fostering a positive and effective communication environment.
- Uphold a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and accuracy during all interactions.
- Follow a set schedule with no planned absences for at least the first 450 hours worked.
- Participate in training sessions to elevate your interpretation skills and stay current with industry best practices.
Requirements
- Be fluent in English and Korean– reading, writing, and speaking.
- Have acquired a high school diploma or GED.
- Be confident with medical terminology (this is not required but is considered a strong asset).
- Be 18 years or older.
- Reside in Canada.
- Legally be authorized to work in Canada.
- Have a suitable quiet & secure work-at-home environment.
- Have a stable and fast internet connection.
