Carpenter - Construction and Installation Specialist

We are a leading provider of high-quality granite and quartz surfaces, and we are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly skilled Carpenter to work on various construction and installation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and building, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and install building components, including walls, floors, and ceilings, using measuring tools and equipment.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials, to create precise and accurate building components.
- Install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.
- Schedule and coordinate work on sites, managing timelines and resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Survey building locations and levels, using specialized equipment to ensure accurate measurements and layouts.
- Instruct and supervise apprentices, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
- Estimate costs and materials, using industry knowledge and experience to ensure accurate and efficient project planning.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures, using a range of skills and techniques to ensure high-quality results.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, with a strong focus on mathematics and science.
- Experience in the construction industry, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Physical stamina and ability to work at heights, with a strong focus on safety and risk management.
- Experience working with diverse client groups, including Indigenous peoples, newcomers, and people with disabilities.
- Knowledge of accessible and inclusive design principles, with a focus on creating welcoming and inclusive environments.
- Experience with project management software, including scheduling and budgeting tools.
