About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Jass Rai Construction Ltd. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-construction planning: Prepare detailed layouts and measurements to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Material selection and preparation: Select and prepare materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials for construction projects.
  • Construction and installation: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Finishing work: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Project management: Schedule and coordinate work on sites to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Training and supervision: Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Cost estimation and control: Estimate costs and materials required for projects and maintain control over expenses to ensure profitability.
  • Maintenance and repair: Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
