We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Dean Wood Construction Ltd. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Estimating and Planning: Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects.
- Site Preparation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements, and measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials as needed.
- Construction and Installation: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems, as well as fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Supervision and Management: Supervise and coordinate the work of other tradespeople and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Maintenance and Repair: Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings, including mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work at heights, in noisy and dusty environments, and outdoors.
- Language: English is the primary language of communication.
- Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.
- Physical Accessibility: Provides physical accessibility accommodations, such as ramps and elevators.
