Foundry Operations Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foundry Operations Manager to join our team at EightSix Network. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our foundry, ensuring efficient production, maintaining safety standards, and optimizing processes to enhance productivity and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Management: Oversee the melting, smelting, and casting of aluminum, ensuring optimal efficiency and quality.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to increase productivity, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of foundry workers, providing training and development opportunities.
- Resource Management: Manage resources effectively, including raw materials, equipment, and personnel.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain high-quality standards through rigorous quality control measures and inspections.
- Reporting: Prepare and present operational reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in foundry operations, with a focus on aluminum production.
- Proven experience working with high-temperature textiles.
- Extensive experience in aluminum smelting operations within the aluminum industry.
- Extensive experience in potroom operations within the aluminum industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Proficiency in foundry-related software and technologies.
