About the Role

Lakeridge Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Care Specialist in Oncology and Palliative Nursing. This role involves providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, and promoting a culture of excellence and compassion.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide nursing care to patients with complex needs, utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based practices.
  • To participate in educational programs and activities that promote best practices and professional development.
  • To contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that enhance patient care and safety.
  • To work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to achieve optimal outcomes and quality of life.

Requirements

  • Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (in good standing).
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining Reflective Practice Standards as outlined by the CNO.
  • Post-graduate certificate in Oncology and/or Palliative Nursing an asset.
  • Recent experience in oncology/palliative nursing preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc.N.) preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to assume a leadership/supervisory role.

Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year
