About the Role:

Nursing & Homemakers Inc. is seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a key member of our dental care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and promoting oral health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consult with dentists on patient care and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Supervise dental assistants in their health care functions and ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Take dental impressions, apply fluoride treatment, and remove stains and deposits from teeth.
  • Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide education on oral health.
  • Clean and stimulate gums to prevent gum disease and promote overall oral health.

Requirements:

  • Dental Hygienists Licensure by the appropriate provincial or territorial governing body.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a dental setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail.

Work Environment:

  • Repetitive tasks and manual dexterity required.
  • Standing for extended periods and ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking.

Personal Suitability:

  • Accurate, client-focused, and efficient interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal awareness.
  • Team player with a strong work ethic.

Experience:

  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a dental setting.
  • Permanent position with 8-9 hours of work per week.
  • Language of work: English.
