This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated healthcare professional to make a meaningful impact in our community. As a Family Medicine physician, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness.
You will work closely with our team-based, patient-centered practice to provide urgent care access and support the Dalhousie Family Medicine Residency program. You will also have opportunities to participate in teaching and research activities through Dalhousie University.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness
- Be accountable for appropriate workload and practice
- Provide improved access to care by participating in urgent care rotation
- Support the Dalhousie Family Medicine Residency program
- Continuum of patient care with healthcare providers within your practice and/or community
- Provide care and coordination of community-based care, secondary and tertiary level healthcare
- Build to capacity within the first two years
As a Family Medicine physician at Oceanview Family Practice, you will be expected to operate within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of Nova Scotia Health Authority. You will work collaboratively with other team members to best suit the community's health needs.
A salary of $250,000 per year is offered for this full-time position, with options for part-time work. The successful candidate must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS) and membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
