At North York General Hospital, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care. As a Team Attendant in the Inpatient Surgery Unit, you will play a vital role in supporting the organization and optimal function of the unit. Working closely with physicians, registered nurses, and unit secretaries, you will provide support to patients and patient care staff, contributing to patient flow and enhancing patient family-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to patients and patient care staff in the Inpatient Surgery Unit
  • Contribute to patient flow and enhance patient family-centered care
  • Work collaboratively with the interprofessional care team to provide supportive care in the Operating Room
  • Provide patient-centered direct patient care following the guidance of a regulated healthcare provider
  • Communicate effectively with team members and provide feedback to nursing staff on patient requests and needs

Requirements:

  • High school or general education (GED)
  • Completed Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate from a College of Applied Arts and Technology
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
  • Related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience an asset
