Food Service Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Piros Family Restaurant. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food quality meets the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Train Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles.
- Estimate Ingredients and Supplies: Estimate the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have sufficient stock to meet customer demand.
- Hire and Manage Staff: Hire and manage food service staff, ensuring that we have a skilled and motivated team in place.
- Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Budgeting and Cost Estimates: Prepare budget and cost estimates, ensuring that we are operating within our financial means.
- Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that we maintain a positive reputation.
- Record Keeping: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, ensuring that we have accurate and up-to-date information to inform our business decisions.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, working under pressure, and standing for extended periods.
- Physical Capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and physically demanding work.
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, team player, and initiative.

- Support for Mature Workers: Provides staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
- Support for Visible Minorities: Provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
