Qualifications and Requirements

We are seeking a highly qualified Clinical Dietitian to join our team at Island Health. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor degree with major credits in Food and Nutrition from a Dietitians of Canada accredited university program, and completion of a Dietitians of Canada accredited clinical/general dietetic internship. Registration with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia and eligibility for membership in the Dietitians of Canada are also required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and prioritize work to ensure efficient delivery of services.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and industry developments in nutrition and dietetics.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a practicing Dietitian.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
