Job Title: Dietitian

We are seeking a skilled Dietitian to join our team at Retirement Concepts. As a Dietitian, you will play a vital role in ensuring the nutritional well-being of our residents.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing nutrition care plans for residents, ensuring that their dietary needs are met and that they receive high-quality meal services. You will work closely with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement nutrition care plans for residents, taking into account their individual needs and preferences.
  • Conduct regular reviews of nutrition care plans to ensure they are up-to-date and effective.
  • Collaborate with the food services coordinator to ensure that meals and snacks meet the nutritional needs of residents.
  • Conduct audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records and documentation related to nutrition care plans and meal services.
  • Participate in staff education and training programs to enhance knowledge and skills related to nutrition and mealtime management.
  • Liaise with other members of the interdisciplinary team and community services to ensure comprehensive care and support for residents.
Requirements:
  • Member in good standing with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Food and Nutrition and completion of an accredited internship program.
  • Recent clinical experience in geriatric nutrition is an asset.
  • Ability to pass a vulnerable sector Criminal Record Check.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal clinical skills.
  • Knowledge of clinical nutrition principles as related to the geriatric population.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a global perspective.
