Qualifications and Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and registered dietitian to join our team at Island Health. To be successful in this role, you will require a bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition from a Dietitians of Canada accredited university program, as well as completion of a Dietitians of Canada accredited clinical/general dietetic internship. Registration with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia and eligibility for membership in the Dietitians of Canada are also essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and prioritize work to ensure efficient delivery of patient care services.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare teams, and other stakeholders to promote optimal health outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers to foster a positive and supportive care environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and industry developments to provide evidence-based care.
