The role of the Fluvial Processes Specialist at SLR Consulting is a key position in our team. As a subject matter expert in fluvial geomorphology, hydrology, and open-channel hydraulics, you will contribute to our clients' goals by providing high-quality technical services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collect, compile, manage, and assess geomorphology, hydrology, and hydraulic data.
  2. Contribute to fluvial geomorphology and open-channel hydraulic assessments.
  3. Produce technical reports.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues across offices and disciplines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant geoscience or engineering discipline.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Membership or eligibility with Professional Geoscientists Ontario (PGO) or Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) is an asset.
  • Experience with erosion hazard assessments, threshold analyses, and headwater drainage feature assessments.
  • Familiarity with GIS software.
  • Fieldwork experience.
