Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Brookside Lodge Community. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality nursing care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care.
  • Ensure the safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and follow protocols on all assigned shifts.
  • Create a comfortable and safe environment that promotes privacy, dignity, and autonomy.
  • Optimize each resident's potential to achieve or maintain maximum functional ability.
  • Seek direction from the RN when resident needs exceed experience or scope of practice.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Practical Nursing.
  • Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses BC.
  • Successful annual completion of RAI MDS certification as per Ministry of Health requirements for AIS.
  • Current First Aid with CPR.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Long Term Care Experience.

Compensation:

$32.84 - $41.35 per hour until such time that wage leveling ends, then the pay rate will reflect the collective agreement pay rates starting rate.
