Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our multidisciplinary mental health services team in a collaborative nursing model. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the team leader and report to the Program Coordinator or designate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Assess and monitor patients' strengths and limitations, including physiological, psychological, socio-cultural, and spiritual needs.
  • Provide a supportive environment for clients and contribute to the development and modification of their care plans.
  • Plan, organize, and establish client care plan priorities when providing care.
  • Provide nursing care to clients in their homes and in the community, according to identified policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a recognized program of Practical Nursing or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Current First Aid, CPR, and Food Safe certificates.
  • Completion of or eligible to complete MHSU Competency Education.
  • Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage.
