Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at SUBWAY. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our food service staff, ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Ensure that customer feedback is addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Operations and Administration
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to ensure accurate inventory management.
    • Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis.
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation to ensure efficient inventory management.
  • Team Management
    • Supervise a team of 3-4 food service staff, including food service counter attendants, food preparers, and kitchen and food service helpers.
    • Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure that they are meeting their job responsibilities and performance expectations.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
    • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be expected to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks.
