Youth Housing and Life Skills Facilitator

WoodGreen is seeking a skilled and compassionate Youth Housing and Life Skills Facilitator to join our team. As a key member of our Youth Programs department, you will play a vital role in supporting the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of in-person, hybrid, and virtual modules for our Youth Housing Navigator Program.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to design and facilitate housing and life skills programming.
- Operate from a critical, trauma-informed lens, including Anti-Black Racism (ABR), Anti-Oppressive Practice (AOP), and a demonstrated understanding of colonialism and its intergenerational effects on black, racialized, and Indigenous communities.
- Interact and engage with 2SLGBTQIA+ content and communities, creating safe and brave spaces for youth from diverse backgrounds.
- Support the revision and creation of new content, including slide decks, programming documents, promotional materials, and evaluation forms.
- Administer and collect pre and post evaluations, reviewing responses for quality assurance and program improvement.
- Work closely with internal program collaborators and teams to create and facilitate housing and life skills programming.
- Support the youth wellness centre drop-in from 3-7 on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, with potential for additional shifts.
- Engage external stakeholders in the design and promotion of housing and life skills content, generating support for outreach across the unit.
- Track registrants and attendees, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation, and uploading data into CRM 2.0.
- Support data interpretation and contribute content for reports for funders.
- Model a healthy youth culture focusing on social, emotional, and physical wellbeing.
- Share information and supports about other WoodGreen programs and services relevant to client needs.
- Previous experience designing, developing, facilitating, and evaluating workshops, seminars, and classrooms, with an emphasis on housing and general life skills.
- Knowledge and experience supporting healthy, supportive, and developmentally appropriate learning environments.
- Knowledge and experience supporting and encouraging tolerance and acceptance across diverse communities from an anti-oppressive and anti-racist perspective.
- Transferable knowledge in building strong, collaborative teams.
