Technical Director

As a Technical Lead at Assent, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our teams and products. You will be responsible for assessing the feasibility of solutions, providing options to drive product and business outcomes, and evangelizing solutions to guide the team to delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Quality Ownership: Own the technical quality of the solutions delivered by your team, from discovery to delivery to adoption.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues from product management, user experience, quality assurance to understand the problems of our customers.
- Solution Design and Development: Design and develop high-quality, scalable solutions, in conjunction with the architects and other technical leads, that are optimized for our business.
- Code Reviews and Mentorship: Contribute to improving the overall quality of our solution by participating in design and code reviews from your own team and others, and mentor other team members to help them improve their technical skills and overcome day-to-day problems.
- Emerging Technologies: Stay current with emerging technologies and methods and drive their adoption where they can accelerate achieving the team's objectives.
- Security and Compliance: Be familiar with corporate security policies and follow the guidance set out by processes and procedures of Assent.
Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience in the software development field.
- Proven experience with AWS services (or other cloud solutions).
- Expertise in our software stack (C#/.NET, MS SQL Server, Angular).
- Expertise in designing large-scale distributed systems.
- Ability to build, deploy, and observe software at scale.
- Influencer who can work well with others and focuses on the merits of ideas.
- Strong team player whose vision of the team extends beyond their reporting structure.
- Critical thinker who can leverage powerful questions to help others see what they're not looking for.
