Job Title: Scheduling Clerk

The Scheduling Clerk plays a vital role in the Home Care team at Southern Health-Santé Sud, working under the supervision of the Regional Manager to coordinate and maintain scheduling for clients and staff. This position requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and maintain scheduling for Home Care clients and staff
  • Collaborate with Home Care Resource Coordinators and Case Coordinators to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Exercise initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities and methods
  • Function in a manner consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Southern Health-Santé Sud
Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in both official languages (English/French) is essential
  • Completion of Grade 12 education is required
  • Preference will be given to Procura-trained applicants
  • Minimum 1 year experience in scheduling staff, preferably in a unionized environment and utilizing electronic scheduling tools
  • Recent Home Care experience is preferred
  • Intermediate keyboarding and computer skills are required
  • General understanding of office practices and procedures, as well as the use of office equipment (computer, fax, etc.)
  • Effective oral and written communication skills are essential
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a time-sensitive environment
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal working relationships
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and work both independently and as a team member
Conditions of Employment:
  • Requires a valid Class 5 driver's license, an all-purpose insured vehicle, and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.00
