Clinical Leader Operations, Children's Intensive Service Mental Health and Addictions

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Leader Operations to join our team at the IWK Health Centre. As a key member of our Mental Health and Addictions team, you will play a critical role in supporting the efficient and effective operation of our Children's Intensive Service.
Reporting to the Manager of the Children's Intensive Service, Mental Health & Addictions, you will assist with the planning, organization, and directing of clinical care consistent with the philosophy, objectives and vision of the Mental Health & Addictions Program and the IWK Health Centre.
As a Clinical Leader Operations, you will model professional nursing practice, foster the development of an environment in which the desired outcome of all activities is the enhancement of patient care while demonstrating strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.
Your Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required (candidates with commensurate experience and education will be considered).
- Registered, or eligible to be registered, with CRNNS required.
- Minimum Five (5) years relevant clinical nursing experience required.
- Current successful completion of CPR Level-C Healthcare Provider or BLS course within the last 12 months required.
- Non-violent Crisis Intervention certification required
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to the Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) model.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and practice required.
- Sound understanding of, and commitment to family centred care required.
- Demonstrated time management, communication (verbal and written), organizational and interpersonal skills required.
- Previous leadership experience preferred.
- CNA Certification in Mental Health Nursing an asset
- Post Graduate Program/Course is Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing an asset.
- Completed continuing education in leadership or team training an asset.
- Demonstrated leadership, delegation and problem-solving skills involving innovation/creativity in solution development.
- Adaptable and flexible in responding to changes in patient/family and unit/service needs.
- Demonstrated competencies in the promotion of teamwork/teambuilding through consultation and collaboration with all stakeholders.
- Competency in other languages considered an asset.
