Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analysis Analyst to provide key support in financial analysis and reporting, as well as develop financial models to drive corporate finance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform year-end and quarter-end financial analysis to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Compile monthly performance and corporate costs reports for management review, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Assist in preparing financial information for the MD&A (Management Discussion and Analysis) and other supplementary reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare quarterly cash flow statements and materials for board presentations, highlighting key financial trends and opportunities.
  • Collect, organize, and present data for strategic analyses, providing data-driven insights to inform business decisions.
  • Build financial models and templates for valuing organic projects and supporting corporate finance activities, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Assist the operational accounting team with internal reporting tools and issue resolution, ensuring seamless financial operations.
  • Collect and analyze PLC estimates from various research sources, providing timely and accurate information to inform business decisions.
  • Support the filing of TSX regulatory forms and Statistics Canada surveys, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with advanced skills in financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Excellent skills in financial management and performance analysis, with a strong understanding of financial reporting and regulatory requirements.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis or corporate finance, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality financial analysis and reporting.
  • University or college degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with a strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
  • Experience working with accounting and financial software, with a strong understanding of financial systems and processes.
  • Ability to analyze data, provide insights, and offer recommendations, with a strong understanding of business operations and financial management.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with a strong understanding of financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently, with a strong understanding of business communication and presentation skills.
