Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Coordinator Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and planning projects, preparing and transmitting documents to clients and subcontractors, and ensuring the successful execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and plan projects, including scheduling and budgeting;
  • Prepare and transmit documents to clients and subcontractors, including project plans, technical specifications, and certificates of compliance;
  • Monitor and track project progress, including quantities, costs, and additional work;
  • Support superintendents in coordination and technical support;
  • Manage interns assigned to projects;
  • Investigate and analyze issues related to project execution;
  • Participate in bid preparation (January to April).
Health and Safety, Environment, and Quality Responsibilities
  • Respect and enforce the company's health and safety policies;
  • Ensure the safety of yourself, colleagues, and the public;
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE);
  • Be familiar with the construction site safety code;
  • Ensure that the CNESST opening of work document is completed before project commencement;
  • Develop and implement the project's prevention program;
  • Ensure that subcontractors are aware of our prevention program;
  • Avoid environmental harm;
  • Participate in the office recycling program and respect procedures, laws, and regulations when applicable;
  • Adopt a quality-focused behavior and respect procedures, laws, and regulations when applicable.
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in civil engineering;
  • Experience in a related field, such as infrastructure construction and project management;
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Provide any relevant certification for following a training on one or more of the following topics (asset).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel;
  • Knowledge of MS Project and a project estimation software (e.g., TPL) is an asset;
  • Security card for construction sites (ASP);
  • Knowledge of English is an asset, as some communications will be conducted exclusively in English.
