Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Coordinator Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and planning construction projects, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and plan construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Prepare and transmit project documents, including contracts, plans, and specifications, to clients and subcontractors.
  • Monitor and track project progress, including quantities, costs, and timelines.
  • Support project managers and superintendents in coordinating and supervising construction activities.
  • Manage and coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues related to project execution.
  • Participate in bid preparation and submission.
Responsibilities in Health and Safety, Environment, and Quality
  • Adhere to and enforce the company's health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure personal safety and the safety of colleagues and the public.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Be familiar with the construction safety code.
  • Ensure that the CNESST opening of work document is completed before project commencement.
  • Develop and implement a site-specific prevention program.
  • Ensure that subcontractors are aware of our prevention program.
  • Avoid environmental harm and participate in recycling programs.
  • Adhere to quality standards and procedures.
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in civil engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in construction project coordination or a related field.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to negotiate and maintain positions as needed.
  • Autonomy and initiative.
  • Good judgment and analytical skills.
  • Confidence and self-assurance.
  • Dynamism and energy.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Respect for tight deadlines.
  • Ability to provide proof of training in one or more of the following areas (asset).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in MS Project and estimation software (e.g., TPL).
  • Security card for construction sites (ASP).
  • Knowledge of English is an asset, as some communications may be conducted in English only.
