About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Coordinator to join our team at Kiewit. As a Project Coordinator, you will play a critical role in the planning and execution of our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, designers, procurement personnel, construction managers, contractors, and other project team members to provide detailed project planning and scheduling from conceptual design to engineering and construction.
- Develop resource-loaded schedules, including activity lists, key milestones, essential permits, significant procurement items, and other essential deliverables that must be planned and tracked on-site.
- Develop realistic activity durations and available labor and resources.
- Evaluate the impact of design changes and delays, and inform senior management and clients of all updates to the schedule.
- Apply a broad knowledge of engineering, procurement, and construction terminology and concepts to develop and maintain logical critical path networks; accumulate and use historical data to maintain realistic planning and forecasting for the future.
- Provide specialized guidance, orientation, and assistance to resolve complex project control issues. May be in contact with clients, attend regular meetings, and provide statistical reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- More than 5 years of experience in construction with Primavera planning software, including the following practices: Time Impact Analysis, Cost Loading and Value Engineering, Resource Loading and Updating, Data Import or Global Change, Linear Scheduling (ideally with TILOS).
- Thorough knowledge of technology, codes, standards, construction engineering, and a deep understanding of the interdependence and relationships between other functional units.
- Previous experience in delay analysis and judicial scheduling.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Projects, and Excel.
- Functional knowledge of English (written and verbal) is considered an asset, as mobility between Canadian provinces is required. Courses may be offered as needed.

- Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others, individually or as part of a team.
- Perform work in a safe and efficient manner. Understand and follow verbal and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment usage instructions, and other policies.
- Work regular business hours to organize and complete work within scheduled deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as needed.
