Occupational Therapist

Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our Mental Health Services team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing evidence-based and recovery-based practice to clients who present with concerns related to their mental health and wellness.
Within a psycho-social rehabilitation model, you will be responsible for the assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of a client's individual needs to assist them in maximizing their function in everyday life. You will also collaborate with a Mental Health Care Team and community partners/organizations using a holistic, client/family-centered approach.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational therapy, with experience working with individuals with mental health and/or concurrent substance abuse disorders. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and be accountable for all actions and decisions.
We offer a competitive salary range of $33.80 - $42.68 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, and a defined benefit pension plan.
