Job Summary:

The Assistant Store Manager will provide exceptional customer service and lead a team of employees to achieve sales and service goals. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to manage employees, plan store operations, and maintain a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example and provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Manage and develop employees to achieve sales and service goals, and provide coaching and feedback to improve performance.
  • Plan and implement store operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and store maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal colleagues and external partners to drive business results.
  • Coordinate and communicate with buyers to ensure the right products are in stock and meet customer needs.
  • Accountable for promoting sales of equipment and services through personalized advice and consultation.
  • Manage and maintain materials and stocked product inventory.
  • Plan and implement events to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Recruit, evaluate, and schedule employees to meet staffing objectives.
  • Continuously train staff to meet company standards and improve performance.
  • Protect company assets and improve profitability by developing and implementing security and safety programs.
  • Pursue succession planning to ensure employees are developed to fill needed roles.
  • Ensure employee awareness of safety and emergency procedures.
  • Understand and support store operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Commitment to promoting a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging.

Requirements:

  • Good communication and presentation skills to instruct individuals and groups on equipment use, maintenance, and servicing.
  • Ability to develop and maintain client contacts.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
