Job Title: Assistant Director Youth Healing Services

The Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Assistant Director Youth Healing Services. As a key member of the Youth Healing Services team, you will play a vital part in defining, planning, and developing programs and services that promote youth well-being and prevent youth in difficulty.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with the Director to ensure the accessibility of services 24/7, 365 days a year.
  • Ensure programs and services are based on respect and autonomy of individuals and respond to their bio-psycho-social, cultural, and spiritual needs.
  • Contribute to the planning, organization, and coordination of Youth Healing Services' programs and services.
  • Develop and implement administrative, professional, and clinical organizational plans for Youth Healing Services.
  • Collaborate with community stakeholders to develop and implement integrated programming and protocols.
  • Oversee compliance with Youth Healing professional codes, laws, regulations, protocols, ethics, and guidelines.
  • Manage operational level management access, leadership, accountability, planning, organization, coordination, implementation, control, supervision, and reporting for all interventions, services, and programs within the Youth Healing Unit.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in a social services area or related field.
  • 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Quebec public administration human resources management laws and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and line management skills, including finance, material, and information resources management.
  • Ability to manage planning and development of new services and programs and maintenance and quality assurance of existing services and programs.
  • Knowledge of or ability to grasp the issues and context that relate to First Nation health and social services programming.
  • Excellent critical thinking, synthesis, decision-making, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Results-oriented, autonomous, flexible, and able to multitask.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, and respectful leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Human relations, coaching, and mediation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both listening, written, and presentation.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with all colleagues, as a team member and team leader.


Language:


  • Fluent in Cree and English.
  • Fluency in French is an asset.


Other:


  • Willing to travel extensively.
  • Valid driver's license.
