Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at American Campus Communities. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our properties, ensuring that all work orders are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance staff to ensure the upkeep of properties, facilities, and equipment.
  • Work Order Management: Ensure that all work orders are responded to in a timely manner, including after-hours requests.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for all buildings, equipment, and resident apartments.
  • Inspection and Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure that properties and facilities meet company standards.
  • Staff Development: Supervise and develop maintenance employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; three years of related experience preferred.
  • Certifications: Air conditioning and refrigeration certification by an EPA Type 2 or above approved testing organization preferred.
  • Skills: Computer skills, including Microsoft Office products and internet usage; ability to understand and adhere to policies and procedures.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
