Regional Director, Risk Management

About the Role

This leadership position assumes responsibility for the overall success of the branch by meeting financial objectives related to the profitable growth and retention of the personal and business portfolio. The Branch Manager will lead and develop a team to build and strengthen existing and new customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership and Team Development: Coach your team to success, both on an individual basis as well as for the Branch/Bank. Assist with building and strengthening existing and new customer relationships through coaching, training and observation.
  2. Risk Management: Manage and minimize the Bank's exposure to risk. Ensure that all risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated in accordance with Scotiabank's policies and procedures.
  3. Customer Relationships: Build strong relationships focused on providing a great client experience and growing relationships with existing customers.
Requirements and Qualifications
  1. Leadership Experience: Experience as a people manager and the ability to engage your team.
  2. Banking Experience: Experience in both personal and small business banking.
  3. Sales Management: Solid sales management experience and the ability to market Scotiabank.
  4. Licenses and Certifications: A license to sell mutual funds. Successfully completed the CIFP Diploma in Financial Planning (or Bank recognized equivalent). Completed the educational requirements needed to assume the role of Branch Compliance Officer.
