About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Eh to Zed Preschool Canada Early Learning Academy. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment that supports the growth and development of young children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and implement child-care programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of children, promoting their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Lead activities that foster creativity, imagination, and learning, such as storytelling, singing, and educational outings.
  • Child Support: Assist children in developing essential life skills, including eating, dressing, and toilet habits, while promoting independence and self-confidence.
  • Observation and Reporting: Monitor children's progress, identifying potential learning or behavioral challenges, and prepare comprehensive reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Establish and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, community service providers, and parents, ensuring a cohesive and supportive environment for children.
  • Environment and Safety: Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment that protects the well-being of children, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Program Planning: Organize activities for school-age children before and after regular school hours, providing a stimulating and engaging experience that complements their academic curriculum.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: College or CEGEP diploma in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a child-care setting, with a strong understanding of child development principles and practices.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
