At goeasy Ltd., we're on the lookout for a skilled Corporate Reporting Manager to support our corporate head office accounting and consolidation of the Canadian businesses. In this role, you will play a crucial part in monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close and consolidation, and will be involved in ad-hoc special projects as they emerge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the month-end financial statement close process, including the consolidation, Canadian legal entity reporting, and management reporting processes, ensuring reporting deadlines are met and potential issues are resolved prior to closing the books.
  • Develop procedures and processes to improve the efficiency and accuracy of consolidation.
  • Manage and ensure that proper processes are in place for the timely and accurate elimination of intercompany transactions and balances.
  • Manage corporate accounting, including payroll and treasury accounting, among others.
  • Perform balance sheet and income statement analysis.
  • Coordinate all interactions with the external auditors to ensure support is provided and audit issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Provide support in preparing quarterly and annual regulatory requirements, including the preparation of note disclosures and shareholder materials.
  • Support the CEO/CFO certification processes, including supporting the internal audit team in their control testing and identifying opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of controls.
  • Oversee the OneStream platform by managing and developing management reports and external financial reports within the platform.
  • Keep abreast of new accounting pronouncements and analyze their impact.
  • Identify and implement best practices across finance functions.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and analyses, as required.

Requirements:

  • CPA, CA designation or equivalent.
  • Experience in public accounting is an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
  • 6+ years of experience in a finance role, including recent experience in accounting and consolidation, a minimum of 2 years of post-designation experience in a management capacity is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft D365, OneStream, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and work on and prioritize various deliverables.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinker.

We offer a Flexible Work Program that provides you the ability to work three days onsite per week, between our Mississauga and downtown Toronto office.
