Program Overview

Mckesson's Intern program is 10-12 weeks long and is designed to provide:

  • A real-life working environment

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst Intern to support our Patient Support Services programs and navigation services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data analysis and a keen interest in healthcare. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data analysis, reporting, and project support within a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
    Assist in the development and implementation of patient support programs and navigation services. Gather and analyze data from various programs to identify areas for improvement and efficiency. Support the team in preparing detailed reports, presentations, and other documentation related to ongoing projects, initiatives, and business reviews.
  • Meetings & Brainstorming:
    Participate in meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions for new initiatives. Provide insights and suggestions based on data analysis to drive new projects and initiatives.
  • Database Management:
    Help maintain and update internal databases and systems. Ensure data accuracy and integrity by conducting regular audits and updates.
  • Modelling and Analytical Reports:
    Assist in designing and developing models and analytical reports. Evaluate and track current state operations and simulate future state operations to identify improvement opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, interpret, and present complex data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Prior experience or coursework in data analysis, healthcare, or business administration is a plus.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered. Our Base Pay Range for this position: $17.69 - $27.74
