Electrical Engineering Manager Job Description

Accelerated Systems Inc. is a leading innovator in electric drive systems for e-bikes, e-lawnmowers, and Light Electric Vehicles (LEV). We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to join our team and lead the development of various electronic products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of engineers across multiple disciplines, providing technical guidance and leadership.
  • Work closely with the Director of Engineering and project managers to deliver engineering projects from planning to completion.
  • Develop and implement engineering plans, processes, and procedures to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Manage budgets and timelines for engineering projects, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks to verify the accuracy of work performed and methods used by engineering staff.
  • Monitor staffing and training needs, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other managers, suppliers, and contractors to ensure successful project outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of engineering experience, ideally in a leadership and project management role.
  • Strong technical knowledge in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, software engineering, and systems engineering.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to understand business strategy and product roadmaps, and make informed decisions accordingly.
