About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to join our team as Senior Vice President, Freight Brokerage and Logistics. As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for overseeing our freight brokerage and 3PL services, working closely with our sales team and clients to identify new business opportunities and drive growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish the strategic direction of the Freight Brokerage division, in partnership with our executive team, to drive growth and deliver on performance and financial results.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team to achieve goals and stretch targets, providing coaching, mentoring, and guidance as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, rail and intermodal service providers, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with our requirements and drive business growth.
  • Work closely with our Corporate VP of Supply Chain and team to capture business and minimize the use of outside 3 and 4PL providers, maximizing service levels, case full, and cost reduction.
  • Responsible for meeting negotiated rates and services with all Freight Brokerage service providers, staying up-to-date on the competitive landscape and industry trends.

Requirements

  • University degree with a concentration in business, logistics, or equivalent experience.
  • CITT-Certified Logistics Professional (CCLP) designation or equivalent.
  • 10+ years' experience leading a team in the Freight Brokerage industry, with a strong understanding of transportation, logistics, freight forwarding, LTL, TL, Courier, and warehousing.
  • Superior communication skills, ability to influence, high degree of business acumen, strategic thinking, and tactical execution.
