Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in Nova Scotia. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing assessment, treatment, education, and supervision of rehab assistants in accordance with professional standards.

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments of clients in their home environment and establish treatment programs, including setting goals and discharge plans.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records according to standards set by the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia and Bayshore Therapy & Rehab's policies.
  • Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team as needed.
  • Communicate with clients/caregivers and provide education regarding treatment strategies as needed.
  • Oversee rehab assistants and/or caregivers supporting the treatment program and provide guidance as necessary.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Maintain active standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia.
  • Maintain professional liability insurance.
  • Participate in ongoing internal and/or external education activities.
  • Adhere to Bayshore Therapy & Rehab Policies and Procedures.
  • Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the company's Quality Management System.
  • Participate in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and corporate information.

Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree or recognized equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia.
  • Preference of three years providing occupational therapy services, however new grads welcome.
