Job Title: Senior Coordinator, Human Resources

Loblaw Companies Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Coordinator, Human Resources to join our team. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a critical role in supporting the launch and ongoing operation of our new distribution centre in East Gwillimbury, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all colleagues on leave, ensuring seamless support and communication.
  • Provide expert guidance and support on human resources-related matters, including compensation, benefits, recruiting, and employee relations.
  • Assist recruiters with full-cycle recruitment and orientation, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Process employment verifications and maintain accurate records.
  • Administer and maintain the Attendance Program, promoting a culture of accountability and productivity.
  • Prepare and maintain weekly reports outlining key HR metrics, providing valuable insights for business decision-making.
  • Support the Operations team with employee engagement initiatives, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Compile, distribute, and maintain reports on personnel utilization, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
  • Assist the HR Business Partner with internal investigations, upholding our commitment to fairness and integrity.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field, with a strong preference for HR Management Certification.
  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, with a proven track record of coordinating departmental programs and initiatives.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong integrity and confidentiality, with the ability to manage highly sensitive information.
  • Solid computer skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Customer-focused and able to nurture positive customer relationships, with a strong sense of urgency and commitment to customer service.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed, with a strong ability to problem-solve and adapt to changing priorities.
