About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fundraising Manager to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support our organization's mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Motivate and steward volunteers and committee members to ensure their engagement is optimized
  • Recruit staff and volunteers for various fundraising initiatives in collaboration with Human Resources
  • Provide stewardship of major donors and corporate sponsors in collaboration with the leadership team
  • Develop and report against annual fundraising budgets, and maintain operations within budget
  • Collaborate with the Finance Department to manage donations and adhere to appropriate recording and receipting of gifts
  • Launch and oversee the implementation of a comprehensive fundraising program, including Major Gifts, Planned Giving, Direct Response, Community Events, and Special Events
  • Act as point of contact for third-party community events, ensuring timely communication and resources are available to increase funds
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with donors, families, partner agencies, volunteers, government employees, and the community
  • Regularly deliver effective communication to donors and internal contacts with diplomacy and sensitivity
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of charitable organizations
  • Ability to prioritize workload and perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Outlook, and internet applications
  • 3+ years of fundraising experience
  • BA/BS degree in business, communications, or related field preferred
  • Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments
  • Demonstrated project coordination skills, superb social skills, and ability to work well with all levels of staff, outside clients, and vendors
