Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director, Philanthropy to join our team at Accoravillage. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting annual gifts and major gifts to support the university's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Fundraising: Develop and implement strategic plans to identify, cultivate, and solicit major gifts and annual gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
  • Donor Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, alumni, and university leaders, to foster a culture of philanthropy and support.
  • Prospect Research: Conduct thorough research to identify potential donors and develop targeted strategies to engage them.
  • Donor Stewardship: Develop and implement stewardship plans to recognize and thank donors for their gifts, ensuring a positive and lasting relationship.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the development team, university leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as development, marketing, or communications.
  • Experience: Minimum seven years of experience in fundraising, with a proven track record of success in securing major gifts and annual gifts.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of development principles, practices, and trends, with experience working with donor databases and research tools.
