About the Role

This Regular part-time Phlebotomist (Donor Care Associate) position is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

You will be working face-to-face with our donors, team members, and volunteers, providing safe and quality service during each stage of the collection process.

Job Description
  • Leverage your exceptional people skills to conduct registration and confidential screening to determine eligibility and build a positive donor experience.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by monitoring donors for safety and comfort, providing post-donation care, and respecting donor privacy.
  • Ensure the safe processing and handling of blood products by following established procedures.
  • Collaborate with others to assist in the collection of whole blood and apheresis blood components that save lives daily.
  • Support mobile events within our communities by setting up booths, tables, and equipment to ensure donor clinics are properly set up for use.
Requirements
  • A minimum of high school completion.
  • An accredited training program in phlebotomy or one year of related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may also be considered.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems and programs, with Microsoft Word and Outlook proficiency being an asset.
  • A second language is considered an asset to support a positive donor experience.

Working Conditions

  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift weights up to 10 kg (22 lbs.).
