Job Title: Restaurant Host/Hostess

At Wing'n It - Halifax, we are seeking a skilled and friendly Restaurant Host/Hostess to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly organized and attentive individual to provide exceptional customer service and ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise customers on wine selection and serve wine with a smile
  • Liaise between chefs and customers to ensure prompt and accurate service
  • Inspect dining rooms and other food and beverage serving areas to maintain a clean and welcoming environment
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Answer customer questions regarding menu items and preparation methods
  • Assist guests with special needs and provide personalized service
  • Attend to seating arrangements for large groups and ensure timely service
  • Greet customers warmly and make them feel welcome
  • Receive customer reservations and assign tables efficiently
  • Receive payments from customers in a secure and accurate manner
Requirements
  • Criminal record check required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods
  • Physically demanding role requiring initiative and flexibility
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor
