About the Role

This role will be responsible for setting up and operating various metalworking machines, including brakes, presses, and CNC equipment. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate metalworking machines such as brakes, presses, and CNC equipment.
  • Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products.
  • Lay out, set up and operate one or more light or heavy metalworking machines.
  • Operate machines or equipment which weld, solder, bolt, screw or rivet metal parts together.
  • Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions.
  • Measure and mark sheet metal according to template.
  • Read blueprints to determine work requirements.
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in metal fabrication.
  • Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
