Environmental Conservation Specialist

The Opportunity
Hudbay Minerals Inc. is seeking an Environmental Scientist / Engineer to join our Environment department in Snow Lake, MB.
This role offers a competitive compensation package with benefits, pension, profit sharing, and employee share purchase plan among others.
Key Accountabilities:
- Conduct environmental monitoring, operate water treatment facilities, and perform government compliance sampling.
- Review lab reports to ensure data validity and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain sampling data and prepare draft reports on environmental programs.
- Conduct site inspections to assess potential environmental impacts.
Requirements:
- Degree in Environmental Sciences or related field preferred.
- Self-motivation, commitment to safety, and teamwork are essential qualities.
- Ability to work outdoors in remote environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Valid driver's license required.
- ATV, snow machine, and boat operation experience an asset.
- Safe truck and trailer maneuvering skills desirable.
