Aerospace Programs Leadership Opportunity

PAL Aerospace is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our aerospace programs from conception through execution. As Vice President – Aerospace Programs, you will be responsible for managing complex aerospace projects, developing and maintaining program schedules, budgets, and resource plans, and ensuring alignment with company goals and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the planning, execution, and delivery of aerospace programs.
  • Develop and maintain program schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Ensure annual budgets and performance targets are met or exceeded.
  • Primary point of contact for client requests and escalating issues with the Chief Operating Officer.
  • Provide technical, cost, schedule, and feasibility analysis support for business development teams.
  • Oversee risk management and mitigation strategies to ensure program success.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensure program milestones are met.
  • Lead the coordination, budgeting, and change management for all In Service Support programs.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on program statuses and addressing any issues or concerns.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal subject matter experts.
  • Define and report on deliverables, milestones, and implementation to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of contracts and liaise with finance to ensure accurate program tracking and billing.
  • Lead and develop team members, foster a culture of excellence, and drive innovation and process improvements.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Program Management, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in aerospace program management, preferably with 10+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale aerospace projects and delivering results.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Past experience in customer negotiations will be a critical skill set.
  • In-depth knowledge of aerospace engineering principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships with employees and external stakeholders and partners.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification would be considered an asset.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under high pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
