Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Interventionist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. As a Clinical Interventionist, you will play a critical role in providing person and family-centred services to preschoolers with autism. Your expertise in behaviour analysis and intervention will enable you to develop and implement effective treatment plans, empowering caregivers to support their child's development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify individualized needs and goals for children with autism.
  • Develop and implement intervention plans, including clinical intake and care coordination, family and health professional education, and interprofessional autism interventions.
  • Provide direct supervision to Program Implementers and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with an interprofessional team to ensure seamless service delivery and excellent patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Behaviour Analysis or equivalent with Board-certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) certification.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with the appropriate professional body in Nova Scotia.
  • Valid Class 5 Nova Scotia driver's license and reliable vehicle.
  • CPR certification and First Aid certification.
  • Two years recent experience working with children with autism and their families.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in intervention for children with autism.
  • Excellent clinical care skills, including assessment, development, implementation, monitoring, and coordination of intervention plans.
  • Ability to work within an interprofessional collaborative practice framework and independently with minimal supervision.
