Position Overview

The City of Courtenay is seeking qualified applicants for the temporary positions of Summer Inclusion Leaders. These positions are ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with people with diverse abilities and creating inclusive experiences in recreation programs and camps.

Main Responsibilities

  • Engage, integrate and lead in the creation of quality experiences for participants with diverse abilities
  • Take attendance and perform program set up and take down

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in/completed a Post-Secondary Diploma and/or Degree in related field (ie. Therapeutic Recreation, Human Services, Community Support Worker, Special Education, etc) or a combination of education and experience
  • Class 4 driver's license preferred

What We Offer

  • Competitive hourly wage range of $20.00-$32.00 per hour, depending on experience
  • Opportunity to develop your leadership and facilitation skills
